Patrick Ferrell
Free-Range Maker and Educator
Welcome to my maker page. Here you'll find a small sample of my (mostly) personal projects from the past 10 years or so - many of them simple, built specifically for educational purposes. I never really anticipated making a portfolio of them, so the documentation and explanations here are a bit sparse. Feel free to contact me directly to learn more about the projects.
In addition to being a maker and breaker of things (my professional background is in physics and research engineering), I'm also an informal technology educator with experience in managing maker spaces, developing curricula and teaching classes for all ages and skill levels. Along the way, I became a MakeyMakey Certified Educator and also a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator.
To learn more about my maker space experience in public libraries (including articles, presentations and video examples of my classes) or my previous career as a research engineer, visit my LinkedIn profile.
